Love it, it’s getting more narrative style from author but I really appreciate nonetheless. I can’t wait to read an Alice Walker book!

Amazon first reads! The writing isn’t that great but the plot is good! I’m enjoying it

LOVE IT !!! So interesting tracing back history and keeping things as factual as possible, while also inserting authors own interpretations. This a 5 star read for me so far, and I have yet to give a 5 star in 2026

Her writing carries the book. Under a critical lense, I’m enjoying the book. Exploring themes of power, self-worth, being a woman. It’s all there. Just plot is not as rich and nuanced as I’d like

Dang I can’t put this book down! I wish the chapters were a little longer because it feels very start stop, but I think that’s what’s making this so easy to go down! Jennette McCurdys writing is so unique, it’s what makes the story compelling. I love how kinda sick and twisted this is. Is that bad to say ?…

I thought this was a memoir still 😭 her writing NEVER fails tho!!!! She was born for this !!!
