My favorite of the series, from now on. The stakes are getting higher, and the new characters are scary and intriguing. I loved the *wight* scene. Ever since I played the Witcher I have a lot of respect for these creatures, and Masses presentation of them was spot on.

The Faces at Pine Dunes by Ramsey Campbell is such a good autumnal and halloween read. It was everything. 🍂

It is getting tense. 👀

Crying, reading this. The contrast between the poetic descriptions of nature and the brutality of human forces on it strikes a chord with the reader. For some, a barren land, for others, a treasure full of the most beautiful greenery, and rocks, that tell a story.

This is both good and heartbreaking at the same time.

Oh boy. This book is giving me the struggle. I was really exited to go into it after The Evening and the morning, but the weird s*x scenes are putting me off.

Officialy back in my medieval era.✨️ Follett's style of writing is just too good. I can't wait for this ride full of twists, mysteries, and history.

While reading this, I sometimes feel like I'm playing The Witcher: Wild Hunt, which is a big compliment. I like the side quests Celaena is doing. New characters are interesting to read, so it keeps you on your toes. I'm just having a really good time reading this series.

This starts so good. 😭 I guess I'm toast, for what is I think, an 8 book series. Goodbye life as we know it. (but seriously, the descriptions of nature are 🤌. I want to know more about the Oakwald forest, the Witch kingdom, everything.)

Unlocked a new favorite genre, ''ecological mystery horror''.

When you think nothing else can happen, it gives you a slap in the face. A true gothic masterpiece.

This book has me commited! Such a page turner.
