It’s obviously poor historical thinking and analysis to look back on the past and judge the people for not seeing their future/what direction their actions will take them. But with Article 48 - yeah absolute stupidity

The DNVP, DDP, USPD, KDP, SPD, DVLP… it is a curse to to be a historian of Weimar Germany. absolute head fuck with all these political parties and transient coalition governments - it’s a miracle they’ve even got parliamentary democracy

anyway it’s my goal to read huge historical books just a) be a better history teacher, and b) stretch my brain and this book is doing the job! a pretty good introduction

I hate this - made for like a woman in the 90s in her mid thirties desperate for a heterosexual loving relationship and is embarrassed of her singledom.
