Expected more, from the reviews. Weiner knows a good story as evidenced from his success in cable TV. This is a Bon Bon. Not bad, just not thrilling. Forgettable.

Story is carrying me along. Well crafted. Confused about how the forger actually went to peek at the painting. How was it not missed on the owner's wall?

More and more boring but I refuse to jump to the end. Will endure. Just want it to be over. These characters are so uninteresting.

Just OK. Writing tends to not enlighten as much as it could to let us inside the characters. It elicits our own response but where is it taking us? The characters seem outlined, not necessarily involving. Still, the story itself is interesting enough to keep me reading.

Cannot finish! Discussed in book club. No one liked it. Relieved I am not alone in viewing the writing as flawed and that too many inconsistencies show sloppy research and editing.

Still a slog. What poor editing and sloppy inconsistencies.

OMG! I am trying with great distress to finish this for book club. Trite. Exaggerated. Cliched. Who are these people giving it 5 stars? How can I explain to my book club members my utter disgust with the story and my view of the author's woeful lack of writing skill. One GR reviewer wrote she would rather watch a 2 hour Hallmark movie of this story. I don't think I could even stomach that. Trudging on...

Hate this book. So many discrepancies but must finish for book club. Isn't worth my precious time. I could be reading something well written and interesting. His can this be a best seller?!

Easy read, light and silly. Not my usual serious book. Written well enough to hold my interest. Must finish for book club.

It's interesting, so far. A wee bit detailed. Would have been better if I hadn't just been in the 19th century with "The Signature of All Things", featuring a similar, though fictional, character.
