This is a really dark book and as a woman writing this it’s shocking, it depicts a male predator that only goes after women. It’s very dark and disturbing, its honestly hard to read. I cried with Chloe. Women already feel so much fear as it is, walking alone, being in the dark, rushing to your car, I’m torn on rating already.

WOW 50 pages in!!! The first 5 had me hooked!! Phenomenal writing 🤩

So far I’m more interested in Max and Amanda’s relationship you know when you read those stories like Pippa and Gabe the first few chapters and immediately know the entire plot (I don’t read the synopsis as I like the surprise)- and you wonder why the woman is so meek soooo clueless - that’s the vibe I’ve gotten thought out the book.

I love Crime Junkies and was super grateful to be given a copy of this book from NetGalley but over 150+ Pages in I feel I’ve read the same plot again and again like it’s not moving.

DNF from the first chapter it was just a YAWN was so boring and extremely juvenile when I purchased this book I didn’t realize it was YA and that’s my fault but honestly I can’t handle reading anymore.

I loved this book and thank you to NetGalley for providing a copy of this to read.

Such a good read so far it’s great - seriously can’t stand Claire and her crappy ass attitude.

I LOVE THIS BOOK 😩

It was a slow read had a hard time getting into the book - I would rate it 2.5 out of 5.

I try to finish every single book I read and hate not finishing them - but this was absolute garbage in my opinion. I’m not into the pirate fantasy and honestly this shouldn’t even be categorized as a mystery.

This book was phenomenal oh my gosh! It was slow to start but the last few chapters WOW! There is one scene that was incredibly disturbing but I won’t spoil that. But other then that - damn I need to read more from this author! 🤩

I originally rated this book a 3 & honestly I’m really debating that it should be a 2 maybe a 2.5 - this was all over TikTok and someone had posted this book broke her. And I’m sitting here thinking REALLY this broke you it’s not even a “decent love story” yes it’s sad what happened but did I shed a tear get teary eyed no. Honestly a big yawn. The style of writing was also absolutely frustrating!

So far it’s okay almost contemplating if I should stop it’s really not something I normally like or read
