The funniest thing about the Iliad is how opposite the characterization of Zeus is from modern pop culture. Every scene he's in, some other god complains to him about another character, and he just gets mad and yells, "Shut up! What are you whining for!? You're a god! Damn, you're embarrassing." And then all the other gods shut up and just sit there quietly.
