A heavy book about loss,and loss of humanity.

I personally thought I'd love this book, but I didn't like it . The writing was great and some of the descriptions for feelings and situations, made you feel the moment. But the characters made choices, that frankly I didn't get. I do recommend thas book, the backdrop of the war, and all that the facist regime brought with it. And the characters are likeable enough.
