The multiple alternate timelines are getting super confusing. I sort of want to go through the book and just read all of version 1 together and then all of version 2, and finally all of version 3. I'm guessing there's a reason for this set up though. I'll give it a little bit longer, but this is definitely NOT my favorite book.

I've been reading this book since May, really? This stories are awesome, but since I have them each bound as a separate mini book I'm finding myself reading one and then stopping. If I had the version where they are all in one book, It'd be so much more compelling to go on. The mini books are so cute though. It still think buying this set was worth it.

KInda feel like I need to justify the fact that I'm still reading this after so long. It really good, but the these essays demand reflection. I'm slowly making my way through this book one essay at a time. I do like it enough to go buy a brand new copy of the book. Anyone who knows me knows I don't pay full price unless I think it's worth it. This book is totally worth it.

Struggling with this book. Skipped second half of "Last" which is obsessed with word etymologies. Not feeling it right now. "Good Voice" was interesting with recordings of older dialects and war stories. "The beholder" has some magical qualities, but kinda threw me off with how narrator shrugs off the surreal. The contributions from other writers about libraries mean to them is my favorite part of this book.

Library serves as a first story and introduction to this book. The author and her editor come across a building in London with the word Library above the door, but what's there isn't exactly a library. It also briefly lays out how this book came to be.

After 6 weeks and only 60 pages of progress, I admit that I'm not feeling this book right now. It's cool premise, I just feel a strong enough attachment to any of the characters to make me need to know what happens next. I hope to finish this later, but it's time to put it aside now.

Tales of the Carpet People- A tribe of people live at the end of the carpet is fraying. They set out on a journey to find a new place to live. They encounter wild beasts, a wanderer, and the armies of a great city along their way. The adventure is interesting, but also I kept just imagining these people as bugs. Creepy to think about what might be living in my carpet.

introductions: brief look at what folktales exists, what they can mean, how they change, and they fit into Discworld. It's cool to think about how these myths evolve as society and changes. How stories can travel as people do.

ch 15 was unexpected and a little awkward. Though I'm not sure why. Haze is full of surprises and loves the unexpected.
