On page 9, the main character’s parents mentioned that they’re paying $500,000 for her to go to Brandeis, and 94 pages later, I still can’t get over that number

It’s such a relief to be back to reading books where I assume a character is gay and then they actually are gay

So far this one has too much boring faction war fighting and not enough Katia, but at least there are still 260 pages where that could change

I'm listening to the audiobook for the reread and the narrator for Abigail is laugh-out-loud hilarious

I’ve figured out that the best way (at least for me) to consume these books is to accept that I have no idea what’s going on most of the time and trust that the author is going to explain it if it’s important. That’s increased my enjoyment of this series a lot.

They’re not even making me read this one for book club, I just decided I was intrigued enough to continue

I already love this book

If hadn’t gone into the book knowing that Becky Albertalli wrote the Kristy chapters, I would’ve figured it out immediately once Kristy mentioned something being “the same color blue as a pack of Oreos”

(Girl who’s only read Chain-Gang All-Stars voice): Getting real “Chain-Gang All-Stars” vibes from this book

I can't believe my book club is making me read this

I’m really enjoying this book but I really wish the author hadn’t reminded me that people born in 2008 are juniors/seniors in high school now

The premise of this reality dating show makes no sense

I’m just screaming “go to therapy” at the characters during every single chapter

I put off reading this book for a long time because I thought it would be too sci-fi/futuristic for me, but now that I’ve started it, I can’t put it down

I just want to know how many mutual friends I would have with the main character (a 27-year-old Jewish guy from Mayfield Heights)

I'm just mad that they didn't take the train from Pittsburgh to Barnwich considering they established that one exists in Make My Wish Come True

Less than a third of the way into the book and I already love it so much that I'm committing to reading all books that Emily St. James writes in the future

This author put me through 160 pages of agonizingly slow mutual yearning before letting the MCs talk about their feelings and I loved every minute of it (both the yearning and the talking about feelings)

1) I love this book so far
2) I can’t believe a minor character named his kids EDWARD AND BELLA

Catch me tearing up at work because I couldn't stop thinking about how these men from 1915 kept referring to the other as his husband

This book is stressing me out in a way I'm not enjoying but the main character is a lesbian who's deaf in one ear so obviously I'm going to keep reading anyway

This book is the definition of Everything Happens So Much

There’s a surprising amount of ear-related stuff in this book

I already have a feeling there's gonna be some good vs. evil battle at the end of the book that I'm going to be skimming over

OMG ELLIE’S FULL NAME IS ELIANA I’M SCREAMING

This book keeps oscillating between being so boring that I can't possibly read another page to being so riveting that I'm mad when I have to put it down so I can go to sleep

I’m just really skeptical that anyone in the year 1960 was reclaiming/self-identifying as queer?? Maybe I’m totally wrong about that but it keeps pulling me out of the time period the book is supposed to be set in.

Oh yeah, I forgot about dual-POV books where it takes me forever to finish because I don't like one character's POV (I really, really don't care about Joe).

I've never been so excited for two characters to realize they're gay for each other

The twist at the beginning of part III was exactly what I needed in my life right now
