Started a new podcast about writing, genre fiction and moral quandries.

Early days, so we'll see how this all develops, but it's fun to dabble with audio and video edit work.

I updated my author photo finally. Bit overdue. I had a lot more hair in the last one, but at least this one is more professional.

Silver lining.

Was wanting to return and see if more was here to like, but just not motivated by what I've read so far. I should probably ask for recommends. I never do. But I really should.

Not finding much to like here. Novel seems plagued with inconsistency. She's an assassin, deadly, feared, even killing a dozen+ of her captors on her way to an escape that was inches from fulfillment and yet...she remains imprisoned?

Then called before the Prince, loosely escorted, where it is evident she could kill the guards & escape...and yet, all the while she meekly plods along, finding her captors attractive?

Read this book. You have to. I don't like non-fiction, I want to have fun reading, but if you care about anyone in this life, any child, you have to read this! You think you know about Autism? You think you know about Vaccines?

It's beyond frustrating, but... You're being lied to.

Conflicts of Interest, No Checks and Balances, Media Control, Doctor Intimidation. Be a great Sci-Fi Thriller plot, but it's true.

Blowing my mind with this book. We all live in the Matrix, and Big Pharma are the "Machines" controlling us. You must read this book. Or visit his blog. You will think I'm crazy. You will deny. You will shout and exclaim it can not be. But if you actually read. If you actually consider... Your world will never be the same again.

We should have known. History has taught us before.

Finally getting close to the end of writing Kip the Quick's sequel. Book 2 is going to be bigger, better and a whole lot more complicated. (Which is my excuse for why it's taken so long to write.) Coming this year!

I'll be sharing the cover art to my newsletter very, VERY soon. :-)

A fun read, most of the time. The literary device was amusing and interesting, but where it ended up taking me was less than I expected. Like a feeling of emptiness at the end of one of those holo-deck episodes in ST Next Gen where all that had transpired was not real. All of the ups and downs: but a dream.

Not exactly the same thing here, but I was hoping for something bigger, and this felt like a half-measure.

Amazing start! Strongly immersive characters, a world sharply realized. I am very intrigued to see where this goes.

And we have pushed past the future parental discomfort of knowing what happens at the end of the book and how it will bother our 9 year old and we are reading Book 4!

And I think we're ready to continue on with the rest of the series. Did we wait too long to share with my daughter? Hard to say, but this is certainly a good time.

I'm halfway through and the book feels like a literary experiment to try and blend and mash up your brain, but I'm not entirely sure it's going anywhere in particular, or at least anywhere particularly interesting. And I'm left feeling like I wish it was a bit more literal and a lot less literary.

Not terribly enthused. I've listened to multiple podcasts with the authors and perhaps jumped the gun on this purchase after getting a little too excited at listening to the breakdown of their process. The book is predictable with uninspired prose, and mediocre action. I'm impressed by the speed of production and collaboration with four authors, but this co-writing project doesn't hold much else for me.

Rereading a favorite book of mine called Kip the Quick. Author is quite talented (*wink*).

Self congratulations aside, I've been getting tired of typing as I write Kip 2 for some of the character names. As I read the book for the first time since I published it, I realize the book is almost too on point, and it might actually need some fluff filler to allow for some more breath between big moments.

Got sidetracked with reading this a while back. Picked it back up, and though a bit moody to start, the pacing has promise and the author is doing a great job in getting the reader up to speed on the events of the past book. His claim was you could read this book even without reading the first, and that may very well bare truth.

Some high level god and demigod type stuff going on here. An interesting mix of the modern and the medieval in this convulted connection of magical realms. I'll admit confusion as to what is what, and who is who; but thus far the author has me trusting them with the story, and I'm enjoying the ride to further revelation.

Fooled yet again. This story is darker than I expected, but not GRRM dark. Robinson does a great job of fleshing out realistic characters while not finding himself beholden to keeping them around.

Kicking ass and taking names. Cord Cahill is a great mercenary. I'm sad Hester hasn't written more of these short and snappy stories that have as much heart and soul as most full novels.

Clifton Hill is finished with Star Wars: Catalyst - A Rogue One Novel
As the novel comes to a close I wonder what the point has been. The story follows a diverse cast of characters as a conniving Imperial with aspirations of power manipulates a scientist into uncovering the secrets of the kyber crystals for the Empire's super weapon.

Moments of fun and interest were dulled by logic errors, poor dialogue, weak characters and mediocre prose.

A casualty to tight production deadlines?
