Also, halfway through and the only investment I had in the plot has just been realized. Is the second half of the book worth it? I don't understand the pacing here.

Okay, I KNOW JKR is capable of writing sympathetic characters. Sympathetic teenagers, even. But she seems incapable of doing so here.

Also, Amanda Quick really has a thing for sex scenes in libraries. I think there's at least one in almost all of her books.
