Actually began reading around September 12, maybe a week later. I never read this before because I believed reviews that made fun of things about it, but let me just say, it is much better than I expected, and I like it a lot. I don't find things cheesy that I expected to. I will probably read the rest of the series. I'm not sure yet what I want the rest of it to be like. It will probably change setting or premise.

Started December 26.

I've never wanted two characters to get together LESS than I do two in this book. Barf. I haven't even wanted to finish listening to this because I'm just like, oh please, spare me. What a terrible pairing. The prequels completely contradict this.

Don't read the prequels to this trilogy first like I did or you're have the completely wrong expectations and be as annoyed as I am at how this book is turning out.

I've essentially read Sullivan's books in a random order, and yet somehow I manage to read a book from series x followed by a book from series y that end up having direct connections. COR #4 -- Leo and Genny ... now RR #3, 1st chapter, R&H going to use their connection with those two to get into the Palace.

Received an ARC of this, so just begun. I didn't realize it was the sequel to No Less Days which I haven't read yet.

Enjoying this still. Reminds me of Narnia in some ways, even though it's more science fiction than fantasy.

I love unique world-building.

As usual, Carr is skilled at world-building without bogging down the story. He uses it to raise tension so I have to keep reading. I've been delighted by the twists and turns, and I'm only just a quarter in.

Seems like I should be farther along than this. I'm enjoying this story, though it will be too slow for some. If you like superpowers you'll enjoy this. I'm listening to the audio because I liked the narrator's voice and bought it based on that and the description.
