I had to give up when he started describing the Fremen as shy. Hell no.

Seems like a good story so far. I pucked it up because this was a popular screen name my mom used when playing EverQuest and World of Warcraft.

Beautiful language and poetic enough to make me love it without feeling like it is there just for show. The English language is doing a beautiful dance in this one.

Whatever style took a hiatus in the second book is back in the third. This reads similarly to the first. I wonder why it is so different. Enjoy this one immensely.

I have no love or memory for the beloved series Matthew starred in. But his book marks a weird cultural phenomena I am pausing to reflect on. This book is dark, and most of the time it doesn't really go anywhere. It's tough, and surprising. I will pray for his soul and anyone else out there caught in this wheel of addiction.

This one doesn't have the same charms as the first. While the first felt very powerful and kept me on my toes, this one feels a bit like that line from Dragon Ball Z. The one everyone on the Internet knows whether you have read it or not. "IT'S OVER 9000!" Everyone is shocked, turning heads, and swept away. New technical roles add to the universe, but just makes plot, well, plottier. I will keep going though.

Note to self. Do not read horror novels about old buildings and bugs in your family's old cabin filled with bugs. A moth flew past my ear while reading this at night after my kids went to sleep. I nearly lost my shit.

Absolutely guzzling this book. I have to pause it sometimes because it is heavy. But so rich with a life story I could have never imagined. It's the first time I have heard of a kind of level of poverty or abuse from someone. Not a case study or a story from someone who heard of something. Real, hard, cold way of life to come through. God bless this woman for speaking.

I've never read the comics. But I enjoyed the franchise as a kid.

So this is not my first "young distressed orphaned girl becomes a corpse thief" story. While that shine has rubbed off decades ago, this seems to be good for the journey so far. Will keep reading.

In my own world, quite everything has consciousness and feeling. The ideas in this book are a little mind altering. But fits with my concept that there is more life out there than we can really understand - and that our senses as humans is quite limited. At the end of the day, being a lovely, caring, conscious person isn't too much to ask.

This book is so flat and shallow. The surprises aren't in the plot but how inconsistent the characters are. I love it. My brain is so overloaded that this just feels like the absolute baseline I could engage with. Bless you Kiera Cass.
