Do I ever start liking Silla? I hope I do, cause right now I think I hate her. That may be too strong a word but dislike feels to weak.

I'm really appreciating the complexities of Greyson's character cause he almost reminds me of Robin from Babel by RF Kuang in the way he's fighting against an oppressive system in the shadows, but still actively works for that same system.

As I'm reading the comics I think I'm gonna point out my favourite sassy Alfred moments.

6 pages in and a cop just assaulted a Black teen for no reason, saying he had a weapon on him that turned out to be a comb.

"I'm only human" as if that's an excuse for brutality.

I got visceral flashbacks to The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas reading this.

This is the first step in my comic book journey and I'm already appreciating the storytelling and nuance I can find between the lines.

There is a moment that really makes apparent just how much power Poseidon has over Medusa, not just in terms of status, but age as well. She's marriageable age but still a child, and he essentially grooms her and leaves her to suffer the consequences of his abuse of power.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve really been having to push myself to keep reading. I was starting to lose interest and getting personally annoyed at some things happening that it was getting pretty difficult to continue. But I can firmly say my interest has been peaked again and I’m back on track to actually enjoying the story.

I’m not going to lie, I’m starting to struggle. Not because of writing or anything but because the dynamic between Harlow and Henry, which started strong, is really irritating me. I’ll elaborate more in my review when I’m done

I’m loving their dynamic already. Their loathing and energy filled banter is done so well, and I can’t wait to find out why it would be bad for her to run, and for him to catch her 😳

I’m gonna make this note now, and then a note after this part in the book to see how things change for me. Going in, I wasn’t expected the king to be a literal child and even when it was revealed I was hoping it would be some sort of magic thing where he’s actually a fully grown man in disguise. I’m still hoping for that but I think this guy is about to go into heat and I’m getting progressively skeeved out

I love when a story has a government controlling a narrative or rewriting history to suit their purposes, and the MMCs see through it and have to work around it and try to dismantle it. I have a couple directions I want this story to take and I’m eager to see what the author does with all this.

I’m really enjoying the addition of Greek mythology throughout the story. I’ve never seen an omegaverse have mythological origins for its dynamics and it’s cool to see that done.

Half way through the book and I don’t know if I should dnf or not. Not even because it’s bad or anything, but I’m just not invested and it feels like it’s taking forever to get through 🥹

It started off strong for me but now I’m just slogging through it and I’m tired🫩

I'm loving the focus of this volume! Now that the relationship has been established and we've moved past any insecurities and misunderstandings Naoto and Hazuki may have had, we're focusing on the kids and their development. It's a great discussion and commentary on the impact that a parent's views can have on their children, as well as the effects that societal biases can have on a young child's self-esteem.

I thought this in the previous volumes, but I love that each chapter ends with this quote. Their relationship is built on the fact that Hazuki broke through Naoto's walls by connecting with him in the way he needed, loving him for who he was, not blinded by designation, and his genuine love for his daughter.

"His hesitation [at drinking her bathwater] annoyed me even more" and "You're no longer allowed to use my name [because he DID drink her bathwater]" are some of the funniest lines in the world to me and an amazing start to the book.

I've just started the book, but I'm already impressed by how visually stunning it is! I don't think I've ever seen a manga where there is colour on every page in such a way (apart from special releases), and it already makes this book so unique!

"Where are your self-preservation instincts?!" is the funniest thing in this book so far. Mans is so down bad he doesn't even know how to contain his emotions and is relying on Chiaki's cluelessness, but it's just making it worse. His pain is my pleasure 🤭

I've been thinking about getting a labret piercing for the past week, reading this book now is a sign from the universe that it's meant to be 😂
In all seriousness, I'm loving how their friendship/relationship is progressing so far!

This is such a good set up for a series. It seems like this is a standalone (which is exactly what I wanted), but with everything happening and how expansive the potential for this world is I’m both nervous that it will end on a cliffhanger (cause I don’t have the emotional capacity for another series rn) and excited at the prospect (cause so much can be done with this world)
