Can already tell this is the best book of 2022 for me.

Love these two.

Kind of surprised at how low the average rating is. I can't decide if this book is too complex and nuanced (???) for the average reader or if the reviewers are just way too high-brow with unattainable standards for literature. Some of the prose is so powerful that it's like reading the footnotes of a revolution still in its infancy.

People looooove this book, and it's a decent book, but I honestly can't stand high school age characters. I have tried, and I just can't get into angsty drama between kids. That said, despite the age thing, it is a good book and I'm going to finish it.

Thank the gods! I have been waiting for this and had no idea it was dropping today! OMG! Joe Goldberg! I have missed you!

I probably shouldn't read negative reviews just as I'm starting, but seriously. How old are the reviewers saying it's icky and offensive to have characters fall in love during 9/11? You clearly weren't born yet, or maybe you were in diapers.

These two have a loooong way to redeem themselves. He's a domineering sleaze and she's a pushover, but the sex is good. 💁 I do like erotica, but this is supposedly erotic ROMANCE, and a guy giving you an expensive purse when what you really want is his time is not very romantic. That said, I'm still reading.

This book is way too well-written and the story is way too raw and real and important for its ridiculous cover. Books like this are not just cheap entertainment like most of the 99¢ romance ebook selection. This is a book that matters. Stories like this are critical because it's what real people are forced to live through at the behest of our own government and in the name of defending the defenseless. Damn.

I wrote this truly gutting book about conflict journalists who get captured in Syria. It was the most brutal thing I've ever written. It seems that I am now getting a taste of my own medicine.

I'm trying to figure out why single quotation marks are used when I should be hooked into the story.
