King continues to slay. I love how King refuses to let continuity compromise the stories he's interested in telling. Sook does a decent job here; haven't been too familiar with his interior work but have always been found of a myriad of his cover work and whilst with a wrestling style slugfest at its center you may expect someone such as Daniel Warren Johnson on art, this is very good in terms of it balancing themes.

Really fun so far; love the idea, and some of the pages are really cool insights and lil stories for their respective characters.

Again, little bit of visual context are missing, even impact visuals that inform on things happening, and a few bits of dialogue. However nothing essential is taken, and I'm still absolutely in love with the black and white version of this book. Sale's inks here are like shadows, his use of abscence in his art work, the way he builds shapes and composed each panel is masterful. He was truly one of the best to do it.

While there a minor moments and minute details lost without the colours, I still think I might prefer the black and white to the colours for this one. Something about Sale's shadows in black and white just works, and for this story in particular, while I'm loving both, I'm more captured by the "Noir" edition thus far. Sale was truly one of the best to ever do it, seeing it in this oversized inks only format shows it.
