Thought provoking, interesting main character, excellent read.

I enjoy the premise of a society discovering FTL travel and stepping out into the cosmos and what that may mean for a species. However I feel the story is loaded with a few too many ideas that to me don’t mesh too well. It’s still a good read but I think it would have been even better with letting go of at least one big idea. 😅

I enjoy the Bobiverse very much and I’m really glad to return to it. It’s such a good mixture of interesting concepts and a bit of lighthearted humour. If sci-fi can be cozy I’d say the Bobiverse possibly is. (And of course there is still enough conflict and action throughout the series.)
