the passage of time isn't shown at all, this could all be happening in the span of weeks/months, or these 3 books could literally have taken place over 7 long days.

Man I remember reading this book when I was in high school! I loved it so much, and now I'm rereading it to see if I still feel the same

Apparently there's 2 books in this one. So the first one is roughly 300 pages while the 2nd book is 100 pages...

These choppy endings for each chapter are pretty distracting. Sometimes the chapters are short and unnecessary, what's the point of them?, or they could be added to another chapter. It's like the author hasn't head of change of scene or sections in a chapter.

I don't understand why they use their real names when they're doing all the dangerous investigating, like shit, the bad guys will be able to trace it back to you and end up killing you in your sleep! Don't you watch any cop shows? Or Supernatural?
