I’m about 50 pages in and I can’t breathe.

Bought this edition because of the cover and the golden edged pages. Rereading S&S because I’m lost, my dad just died and nothing makes sense and I need some comfort.

Bad time in life so of course I’m reading Judy Blume.

i’m enraged that i can’t stop reading this book about almost-infidelity

MY HEART IS POUNDING

Heady. Like a waking up drunk and going to sleep drunk.

Second time reading this because back in 2021, when I first read it, I got bored past the halfway mark and gave up on it. Wanted to give it a second chance before Intermezzo. I dislike the men more than I did than that first time. Have I become even more of a cynic?

Why are 30 yos talking like teenagers?

I did not expect the philosophy.

I wanted to immerse myself in this big gothic story, but so far I’m still awaiting the immersion.

Very compelling. Put down my other book to read this. Raced through 14 chapters already.

This is the first time this year that I’ve felt fully immersed in a book.

I cry after every two poems.

I cannot read this at one go because it’s making me cry and I keep running off to hug my dog.

I’m terrified that I can relate to the main character.

I want to finish it but also not

Harry is insufferable omg — I haven’t despised a main character like this, in like, ever.

Nearing the end and feeling sad about it, like my Paris vacation is coming to an end.

This book is so pretty to just touch and look at I don’t want to finish it. It’s like sipping wine.

I’ve understood my issue with this book. The reader already knows what the “source of the scare” is. And how to deal with it. Just like the characters. The whole idea of fear generates from the unknown. And, so far … that’s missing here?

But I was also recommended this book by a very reliable source, so I shall strive on.

Okay, my fave character is Dash, the dog.
