I will always read everything Frieda McFadden releases. I love her books. Just the right balance of suspense, humor, and twists to keep you reading. The Intruder has me saying "just one more chapter." It goes back and forth between the past and present with two different characters and I wonder how it will all come together because I know it will in the end. Frieda's books are an easy read. I have loved them all.

I do not even have words except to say Will Dean takes you inside the mind and heart of "Jane" and you feel every ache and moment of despair and horror. I found this book through a Booktuber, The Pastel Bookshelf.

I am intrigued by this book. Described as Bridget Jones meets Black Mirror. I love the Black Mirror series. Immediately Clara is relatable. Looking for love. And kissing a lot of frogs. Then a new app appears, Swiper. Technology at its finest. What will happen next? This book is very easy to read, so I tell myself just one more chapter...

Once again, Shari Lapena does not disappoint! Everyone is a suspect in this book and you want to keep reading to find out what happens! All the while your mind is saying, oh, it is this person because of x, y, z. And then in the next chapter you say to yourself, oh, wait, no, it is this person. LOL. I never figure it out until it is revealed, and I don't want to. I love the twists and turns in books like this.

This book will go down in history as one of my favorites of all time, right up there with Joe Nuthin's Guide To Life. I have cried, laughed, and felt my heart break for Sam, a boy born with ocular albinism. The story goes back and forth between 1969 when he is a kid and 1989 when he is an adukt and an eye doctor. The short chapters make this for easy reading. Highly recommend!

There are QR codes at the end of some chapters where you can access videos that correspond with what is happening in the book at the time. OMG. I have never seen anything like this in a book.

Sucked in right from the get-go! This book was recommended to me by a friend. And loving the short chapters! I feel like more authors recently are doing that, or I am just picking books that have them!!!

I love Sarah Pinborough. Behind Her Eyes was one of my favorite books the year I read it. This one, I love the short chapters and the alternating perspectives of the husband and wife. Both did something very bad. And there is a ghost/supernatural element which isn't usually my thing but I'm wondering if it is not supernatural at all but gaslighting by a real live human?!?! The book is good.

I can already tell, 5 pages in, that I am going to love this book. I have read everything Wally Lamb has put out and I loved them all. Real life, relatable, makes you feel all the feels.

I loved the concept of this book from the start. And reading it, I love it even more. The short chapters, the book within a book, and the fact the author has NAMED each chapter. It is not just Chapter 1, 2, etc. , but names like The Talk and The Drink. Love it, love it, love it. But the storyline is what is most intriguing and I am very curious to see the resolution.

There are certain authors where the way they write is just perfection. Sally Hepworth is one of those authors. I am only 56 pages in but love this book so much already. And want to keep reading to know what happens.

Well, Joe is at it again and still obsessive, but it is so good!! It is like you are actually crawling into his brain. And it makes you wonder what everyone else around you is thinking, right?? I am only on Chapter 3, but I know this is going to be a wild ride.

This, hands down, will be my favorite book of 2024. I have felt all the emotions so far. This book has made me laugh, cry, and think about how I conduct my life. I have even tabbed some things in this book! You are rooting for Joe the entire time. The other cast of characters add rich layers of a world that we all live in.

So far one of the best Prime Reads I have ever had. A book that grips you and makes you want to keep reading. Something is off with the whole situation but what? And every woman can relate to the main character, Eden.

Danielle Jones is finished with The Whispers
This is one of the best books I have read, because it is relatable. Relationships between women, husbands, wives, neighbors, children, a tragedy, people living lives of quiet desperation. I always wonder how someone can write a book like this and keep all of the details straight, but I am so glad those authors are out there for me to read and enjoy. Highly recommend this book if you like domestic mystery.

Grace comes to stay at Calvin’s ranch through Airbnb. They wind up liking each other. But something is off. They are both hiding something, but what? The chapters are told in alternating perspectives of Grace and Calvin and the tension just keeps ratcheting up. What is going to happen???

I have been reading all morning and I can’t stop. Who is the villain? What REALLY happened 25 years ago? I have to find out! And that is the mark of a good writer, at least for me.
