Idk how I feel about Backman’s teenage characters. Maybe I’m still burned out on the Beartown series but it feels a little overly-affected. Twee? Idk. I’m only a few chapters in and so going to see where this goes but I’m admittedly feeling a little irritated already which is a shame because I generally love this author.
