read thevicki lewis thompson short story and liked it alot, what I didn't realize was that it was a run off of the chance brothers series. I wonder why it's not listed with them. this is about roni

why don't authors put book numbers on series ??? I read the last book of a seriers before the rest thinking it was the first. and I don't know how many books I've read to find out they are part of a series and of course the book I read is never the firsat one!
