Woah! I got chills from that first story, WITH THE LIGHTS OUT. It took several urban legend tropes and weaved them together to make something new and unpredictable. The ending was very creepy. A great way to kick off this anthology!

I'm just reading this for my book group and didn't expect to care much for it but holy crap, this is fantastic! A creepy isolated prison for delinquents in the middle of the stormy sea . . . Cold, clammy cells . . . A possible monster locked away in the darkness of the building . . . heck yes! Also, I love Colin with his lisp. I keep picturing Hedwig from Split.
