I think this is also the first (sort of) title drop in the whole series. So I’ll take it.

“Scott Hunter, Eric Bennett, and Ilya Rozanov walk into a gay bar…” sounds like the beginning of a top tier joke - and that’s because it is. Chapter Four is, hands down, the funniest chapter so far in the entire series. Ilya Rozanov, you are a menace and never let anyone tell you otherwise.

Anyway, Kip and Scott are slowly building towards an incredible fallout. It’s like a slow motion car crash; impossible to look away even though you know it’s horrible. I’m scared during their every interaction because I never know if this is going to be the moment it all falls apart.

Ilya Rozanov chronologically mentioned for the first time! It’s like seeing Tony Stark in the middle of a MCU movie. 😆

I’m also enjoying the story so far, even if the relationship is moving pretty fast. Although that’s kind of the point, that Scott isn’t able to have a relationship slowly or casually. Poor Scott.

Six years and more than 100 pages later, but they’re finally at the feelings stage! Do your best, Shane and Ilya!

Dr. Faraday is the classic horror movie boyfriend/husband that doesn’t believe his partner about their house being haunted. But I’ll still give him a pass because he truly does love the Ayres family. Though whether this love will make things worse or better remains to be seen.
