This book makes me laugh. And in the first chapter, my little city is mentioned twice. We're famous! ;)

I'm just not into this book. TBH I'm tired of the us vs. them thing. Was SO dang happy that they banded together against a common enemy in the last book....but now? Now it's bad to the same old thing *sigh* Will eventually finish, maybe...

Dragging onnnn with the Tod thing. Just put us out of our misery already. And I'm not going to like Sabine, no matter what. Honest. ;)

So Justin has been in love with Alina since he saw her. He claims it's because she's fiery, or some such. I'm really not feeling this story. But I'm soldiering on anyway.

I bought 22 books in 1 shot, this and "The Passion of an Angel" were among them. Already I'm noticing similarities to Passion. The hero is sarcastic. He has a valet who is effeminate and "flits". And too much dialogue has been given to non-essential characters/scenes. Hopefully it'll ease up as we go and the characterization has been set.

Well, now they're married but we're still waiting on this secret of Angel's. I'm a bit frustrated with this story.

This story is a little strange in that by the midpoint the hero has decided he's in love with the heroine. The heroine soon follows after. I guess half the book is spent on this secret of Angel's? I'm not sure I like that. I prefer stories where at least one of them is uncertain about their love for a bit longer. There also isn't/wasn't much in it to make them fall for each other.

Have figured out Eleanor IS the heroine. Duh. I still can't see her with Villiers. I generally don't like love triangles with 2 women but so far this one hasn't annoyed the hell out of me.

I'm so confused by who the heroine is in this. 70 pages in its all about Eleanor and yet I'm guessing she'll end up with Gideon rather than the hero Villiers. Lisette hasn't appeared yet.

Not my favorite by this author. I liked the Gabe story from this series much better.

"Her combination of innocence and curiosity, of determination and vulnerability, utterly bewitched him." I actually snorted aloud and said, "What! Already?" Because it felt too soon. And Maria hadn't done much to earn that yet apart from be pretty.
