Rena Ong is 50% done with The Memoirs of Lady Hyegyŏng: The Autobiographical Writings of a Crown Princess of Eighteenth-Century Korea
Too long. Too many characters that one forgets the complicated intrigue between the characters. I enjoyed the first part but then it became more of the same. A shame as the lifestyle and the history of the time are interesting.

Rena Ong is starting The Etymologicon: A Circular Stroll through the Hidden Connections of the English Language
Interesting both with word origins and the history that surrounds them. Its also rather humorous. Highly recommended.
