~100 pages in and still no real explanation of what's going on/what the school is?

Blah blah blah. Heath insurance is terrible in the US. We all know this. Can we move to something more exciting in the story?

It's trying so hard to be Jurassic Park but it's not quite there. Amusing, though.

Ehhhhh. I guess I overlooked the full story when reading over the synopsis. I’m just here for the serial killer not the architecture.

Meh so far. It's feeling like something that'd be better suited for a movie rather than a book.

LOL. This is really ridiculous. Nothing about these teenagers seem teen like.

I'm getting some Riley Sager vibes with this book.

So I had *thought* I read this a younger teen. After getting through those first chapters all about a young woman and what happens after her wedding, I'm not so sure now. I don't remember any of that, ha.

I'm ready for some spooky stuff to happen otherwise this is incredibly dull.

So where's the charm of the other two books? 🤔

Is it terrible to call a murder-y book fun?

It's been over 20 years since I was Ramona's age. It's amazing how Cleary is able to make me really feel Ramona's feelings. I almost forgot about the anger and embarrassment from that time period.

Sometimes the voices are good. Other times....not so much. Hopefully we're past Gollum because I don't know how much more I can take.

I'm not sure if the series actually jumped the shark or it's because I jumped from book 5 to book 12 since that was the next CD the library had but I'm not really loving the book so far. It's just so out there.

The story really is great. Listening is turning out to be tricky since there are jumps in time and it takes me a while to figure out when they happen.

Not going to lie...I straight up cackled at the part about Wil Wheaton being a politician in the Oasis while Wil Wheaton narrates the book. Very meta. 🤣

I feel like “Fable, no” is going to be a reoccurring theme for this book. 😂

This is just so slow. It feels pretty...boring? for a middle grade book.

Ughhhhhhh. I'm over Theo. I was really hoping for more of mystery. So far it's just been him rambling about his life.

Ughhhh. Could Sera possibly whine anymore about her mom leaving?

I like the basic story of kids go missing and those left behind are struggling with how to go on.

I have a feeling we're going to take a severe left turn down a weird road to something like the missing kids are stuck in the desk though.

This is totally ridiculous but I can’t stop listening.
