It turns out I made a bit of an accounting error, and my concern over the new book's word count is REALLY justified. Surprisingly, I'm not all that worried about it.

On the way home from work Saturday I took some pictures of the Chain O' Albion Chain O' Lakes Festival. I didn't expect them to come out well, and they won't win prizes, but I like the way the color came through.

I've finished the first draft of Hoosier Hysterical 2: The Search for a Subtitle!

Which is good, because when I started it last year I established a publication date of June 1st, 2026. That's still going to be an awfully hard deadline to hit.

I usually have pretty clean first drafts, but this one's a mess. I also tend to write short, but this manuscript is 5,000 words longer than I wanted. So, I have work to do.
