Some chapters I’m skimming—I guess I’m in the mood for a little more dialogue and a little less reflective imagery. But I’m interested in what happens.

OK, didn’t finish

Loved it! Intelligent , groundbreaking, quirky Elizabeth was true to herself to the end. Heartbreaking at times and so well written. I am in awe of the women who had to battle such blatant gender discrimination in the workplace, and still persevered. We give you thanks, trailblazers!

Didn’t finish. Too many better books out there.

I gave up. :) After listening to seven of the 31 audio cd's from the library set, I simply lost interest and tired of distinguishing among the five-syllable last names of the characters; some were even longer. When I turned it in with my confession, the librarian agreed; she had to read it in college and said she hated it. That made me feel a little less defeated. So "Bravo!" to those who can endure.
