It feels like reading fanfic... bc it is, in essence. But it's absolutely perfect! The characters read the same as in the original series and I AM HERE FOR IT.

Kendra Wallace is 88% done with Demon Copperhead

So far, this book is one of the best I've read. I had to take a break, though. The writing is so raw, real, and emotional, that it hit close to home and struck a nerve. Kingsolver deserves so much more recfor this book--it's surely on its way to being the great American classic. I plan to finish the last bit (hopefully it wont effect me so painfully) soon... after I've read something of lighter fare.
