Read in a day, really immersive experience.

This is getting rather complicated, but I suppose alien invasion would.

It has taken me ages to start this then only an hour to fall into it. SF with invading aliens, really roaring along. Enjoying it.

Really enjoying this. reminds me of something though and I can't place it.

wonderful, heartbreaking, glorious, all sorts of things.

war is getting closer and the narrator is offering spoilers. odd.

I'm very afraid this book is going to make me cry.

It's lyrical and beautiful, awkward and harsh, and mesmerising.

I tried to read this once before and couldn't. flowing beautifully this time.

enthralling, absorbing, fascinating, inspirational.

Read it in one sitting. premise isn't new to me, but the treatment is good. starting to struggle a little towards the end as some of the rules seem to be breaking down.

immensely readable, I was instantly drawn in and desperate to find out everything. There are lots of twists and turns, Jenna is catapulted through a chaotic journey from imprisonment to freedom, hiding from the state, to attempting to overthrow it.

Love Ani's sections. struggling more with Tyler's, suspect the adhd descriptive passages are extremely accurate, but I find them correspondingly difficult to read. Am already guessing about potential plot twists.

I like the style of this so far.

accidentally stayed up till 3am reading this. pretty riveting then. even though I found the romance stuff rather unconvincing.

enjoying this so far. It rocks along quickly, with plenty of action, although slow to reveal the underlying plot.

wonderful book.

I love the language of this. It's realistic, the way we actually think and speak. And I'm desperate to know how it works out.

Racing through this one, a lovely way to spend an evening or two. Though I wish I had a swimming pool sized Bath to be reading in.

So many things about this I loved, if you're a sucker for a romantic story you'll love this too.

Finally started and loving it.

An odd mix of the personal voice and the professional reporter, the mother confused and fighting for her daughter, the woman running for her sanity and health, this is a book which offers insight not just into life parenting an aspergers child, but also a scathing indictment of the postcode lottery of support that awaits these families. Full review to follow.

#FridayReads this is growing on me after a slightly shaky start

#FridayReads powerful, uplifting, harrowing, elegant, believable. Weaving the back stories of babies given up for adoption with the present of the often troubled families seeking to adopt them Ann Hood has woven an often traumatic but ultimately believable narrative of life, love, pain and loss.

I loved this. The ideas, the language, the characters, everything about it. More please
