My new years resolution is to listen to more audiobooks, less podcasts. Although this audiobook really feels like a podcast haha.

I was really liking this book and now I just got to the murder and suddenly I don't care any more. 🤔

Slow start, but now I am really getting into this. Valency is a delight. It is reminding me of what I liked about Persuasion but it is written 100 years later so I guess I'm more of a 1900s girlie instead of 1800s

PSA: There is a free audiobook of this on Spotify narrated by Cynthia Erivo! I am like 25% done but am now starting over because I want to listen at the same time and her voice is soooo soothing

I think this book is going to turn me into an insufferable fact checker when anyone talks about climate change

I just started this but I can already tell it is going to be such a balm for the soul for me and lots of people who have been put through the wringer in their faith/church/life/relationships. Already so grateful for this book. Also it is unsurprisingly making me want to go to NYC like yesterday.

So far, this is possibly the saddest book I've ever read. My heart is in a million pieces on the floor right now and I'm really hoping the ending at least attempts to put them back together.

The staff at New Life Detroit are reading this. It's been fine and it has made me think at times, but I'm finding it pretty intuitive most of the time, and a bit dry other times.

I just cried my way through the first chapter because of how deeply it hit home for me. Thumbing through the rest of the book, I'm not sure how much will resonate. But the title and the first chapter have already started working on me I think.

I'm only two chapters in, but I think I'm going to read this one fast. I'm already hooked on Ove's cranky and stubborn and endearing personality.

Total guilty pleasure that I picked up and hoped to finish over the weekend but I didn't so we'll see if I actually do. +1 for being set in the UK, +1 for being about millennial angst -a lot for being generally pretty annoying and the main character being so incredibly insecure it's past the point of being relatable.

I checked this out from the library on audiobook and got an email about it so now I have 14 days to finish it. Shouldn't be a problem, ha.

I picked this up randomly at the bookstore and was totally drawn in by the introduction. This quote sucked me in: "In truth, feminism is flawed because it is a movement powered by people and people are inherently flawed." I think I just agree with that and I appreciate the humility it conveys and it really made me want to see what the author has to say.

I'm listening to this on audiobook. The narrator is wonderful, the content is very hard to listen to but very eye opening. It's definitely a slow read, I keep rewinding it to relisten to parts. Cora, the main character, is smart and surprisingly funny and resilient. It's a great read so far.
