What I like about this particular book is the way it slaps the harsh truth in your face without sugar-coating it!

The tips given in this book are quite basic and the book itself is no different than any other anatomy book out there. Figures are weakly drawn and too stiff. I wouldn’t recommend it.

This book only shows you how to copy a photo and “smear” with different colored pencils. You won’t even find any basic lessons on how to draw a portrait, or any line values on any of the drawings whatsoever. The children portraits are over-worked and have lost all softness. I won’t recommend it at all.
