I'm glad that the head teacher isn't treating the situation like it's 'just children being children' or whatever, but I do believe that it's illegal to have indecent photographs of underage people, even if the person is yourself, and as these students are year 10, the police would most definitely have to have been involved. Yes, I know this is fiction, but it's good to keep on top of e-safety laws etc.

reading about someone with splinted fingers when you also have a splinted finger is weird. Also, baleen would be an awful finger splint as it would become too flexible with body heat, so is it steel?

Noooo, there's been several mentions of miserable corsets and so on, but the corset crushing her ribs? FAKE NEWS! Women wore corsets and WORKED. What is she wearing the rest of the time? Cause no respectable woman would ever be without one, not just to carry the weight of her clothing and create the desired silhouette but to also support the chest. It bothers me now I know these things.

Listening to the narrator talk about 'bare Ivy vines in winter' while it's winter and you're walking the dog through a mass of very leafy green ivy is odd....is ivy not evergreen in the USA?!
