I'm loving the way it's written and how the information is presented. Since it's one of the most recommended titles for those interested in learning about the craft, I'm glad that it's not been disappointing so far.

Was recommended by a couple of close friends to read this one and am quite enjoying it so far. I'm excited to see all the twists and turns and whether or not the portrayed love interest turns out to be a douchebag or not haha.

An interesting addition to the franchise's plethora of books. I love the quirkiness of the characters thus far, and I'm itching for the moment where someone goes, "Hey, maybe the Empire is actually bad! It's not too late to change your mind, you know!"

I might be the only who feels this way, but it seems as if the story is progressing rather quickly?
I mean, I'm only sixty pages in and Alina's gone from being a common surveyor to possibly the most valuable Grisha in Ravka. Not only that, I didn't get much of a chance to grow attached to Mal or the more minor characters before Alina was carted away with the Darkling's cohort.
More world-building would've been nice.

This really lets me see the worth of telling a story in the third-person; some would say it's more restrictive than first, but Dawson does it in a way that's both gripping and page-turning.
Maybe Crimson isn't just some stock Imperial interrogator.. Seems like he knows what he wants and isn't going by the standards. Very interesting c:
