This book may not have been a good choice to follow The Song of Achilles with. I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, including my own future parades because these Bridgeton are fun. This one is following the same recipe as the first, however I’m annoyed how whoring around is perfectly acceptable for single men, yet acceptable women can’t even be caught in a dang garden with a man.

I know how this story ends. I'm loving this book and I don't want it to end and I can't put it down. I'm a fan of Greek Mythology and I love how Madeline Miller pieces together the untold story. This is beautiful and I know that I am going to weep at the end.

The block party is only getting started, and I can’t let Darius Darcy and his stank attitude kill my vibe. I breathe out.

I'm hooked from the first sentence of this contemporary adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. "It’s a truth universally acknowledged that when rich people move into the hood, where it’s a little bit broken and a little bit forgotten, the first thing they want to do is clean it up."

I'm chuckling every time I meet a new character and know exactly with Jane Austen character they are. Just met Charlise and love it!!

Love this book, love the writing - beautiful and poetic, love the women.
