MICHAEL
MICHAEL is on page 110 of 320 of Off Ramp: Adventures and Heartache in the American Elsewhere
not as easy a read, not as compelling and drawing you toward a conclusion as Tinsel. Still looking for the common theme. The idea that all of these stories take place in no place, or anyplace, is a good start, but, what is he saying about that no place, or anyplace. what are we to take away from it all.

MICHAEL
MICHAEL is on page 50 of 329 of All Over But the Shoutin'
particularly well written. Very strong descriptions of both physical and emotional experiences of life in a poor disfunctional southern (are there other kinds) of family.

MICHAEL
MICHAEL is on page 75 of 288 of They All Fall Down: Richard Nickel's Struggle to Save America's Architecture
the early portions, mostly biographical may be a little slow for some readers. As a Chicago history buff the vision of the early 20th century in the city intrigued me and placed the Man in his time.
