this book is making me cry and fall in love all over again

WHAT DO Y’ALL KNOW ABOUT YEARNING

I am hoping to be finished with this in the next few days but I have been finding it difficult to pick up. Currently, I am on chapter 17 and so far the only word I can use to describe the book is repetitive. I feel I have read the same conversation in the same scenario nearly back to back with similar outcomes and barely any time passing between them at all. The tension comes off as artificial and not yet deserved.

Loving this, loving the planning and scheming. Now I just need Rowan and Aelin to kiss. Also I love Aedion <3

Omg I love Chaol’s small point of views? Love him more than Dorian. Celaena is not my favorite MC decidedly, I feel like for all her arrogance and pride she has for being a “assassin” she gets caught and finds herself in a lot of trouble? Like idk if you were that great you could probably predict a lot of shit before it happens.

Read Assassin’s Blade first and idk how I feel about it. It is a prologue, but with how often Celaena is referenced as the BEST assassin, I feel like she is not smart enough to WHO is deceiving her, when she’s being trapped etc, etc.

This book is actually irritating me. Auren is USELESS. I honestly wish this book was about ANYONE ELSE. I just wanna finish it and never read any of the other books.

Persephone is becoming INSUFFERABLE. Hades has explained how working with the Fates works and she just refuses to accept that. She is becoming too stubborn. Also dislike that she’s “helping” Leuce, like girl your man turned her into a tree for cheating and you wanna help HER? Make it make sense.

Persephone is absolutely irritating me. She can be so smart at times but then also SO STUPID. Hades still the best even tho he still needs to learn to communicate.

Realizing I have a book boyfriend type. Tall, dark, morally gray and doesn’t think he deserves love.

Loving all the characters so far! Love the atmosphere, and I love having to research different Gods for more background. Definitely a new type of book that is itching a scratch I didn’t know I needed.

So far Fumiko is bothering me. It feels like a lot of characters were introduced at once and I’m getting confused on who’s who. I can only read a couple of pages before I get bored and put the book down.

Oh how the tables have turned. I’m enjoying Nesta’s character development and Amren is annoying the shit outta me. I miss reading from Feyre & Rhysand’s perspective. Also why the fuck is Rhysand letting Amren make so many fucking decisions now?? Put your foot down SIR.

Listen, I understand that Nesta is going through A LOT atm but I just find her so annoying to deal with. So far, it’s very slow and im finding it difficult to pick the book up to keep reading. Also just met Gwyn (which is one of my favorite names ever) and I think I’m gonna like her.

I understand why Rhysand is superior. Enjoying this so much more than the first book. Love how similar and playful Feyre and Rhysand are. It’s reminding me of New Moon, before Jacob turned into a dick and how Bella was healing from the emptiness of Edward. Feyre feels like more of an elevated and independent character.
