A main theme I've noticed is that the train is giving back things that a person may or may not want.

There's different points of view in this book and usually, I'm not on board with that. But I know that eventually, even with the points of view of three different women, that everything comes together in the end.

Also... Marriage changes people. Sometimes, they don't really change but for most... their old friends don't matter anymore.

I like how the Ilirians are the only people willing to fight for others while one of the courts gets invaded. This is despite the blood Ruby's sent to Rhys, Feyre and Amarind in book two. The High Lords -- Summer Court High Lord being the most likeable so far -- are such scummy people. The caste system is alive and well.

Mwahahaha. Tamlin and Ianthe have gotten their just desserts and I loved every second of it. I'm so glad that Lucian has escaped the Spring Court as well. God, I want him to be so happy it's not even funny.

ALSO. FUCK ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS.

I'm not sure I'm following the narrative. Are Evar and Livira going to meet up in the library and attempt to escape together?

Hah. A grim, dark fantasy as I expected from Mark Lawrence. It's drastically different in tone, language and lack of explicit sex scenes. :D No, I don't want one in the book either. I'm not sure how I feel about the multiple points of view though. But... Considering that this has been reviewed by GRRM, I can't say that I'm surprised by this narrative choice.

Yep. Tamlin is still a possessive piece of shit. It's so toxic that it's rubbed off on Lucian, the only reasonably sane person in that entire court save for Alice. My urge to throttle him has increased.

The Night Court is significantly better than the Spring Court. :3 I love that Feyre is coming back to being herself again.

Feyre has rediscovered herself and I couldn't be happier.

The Vilareans (sp?) are much nicer than the simpering Spring Court. I like them much better. ^^
