Been reading this on the train and had to stop here, with 10 pages left. Because shit got oh so very real with Chris sharing his feelings with His dad Emil. To read your own thoughts and experiences with the whole intergeneration relationship - my eyes were watering and I did not want to cry on the train to work.

I was wrong, it gets wilder from here. Getting to read more about Eli’s childhood. I’m flabbergasted, needing to pause and process after each chapter.

Say what now. We finally get to revisit Eli and P149-150. That is brutal and when I thought it couldn’t get worse- there it is on the next page. Like what - dissecting and ripping out his heart?!?!

Been crying since P133 til the end.

Been reading this during my commute, but I have a feeling this last 30 pages are gonna hit a nerve, so saving it for a quiet read at home

it's too good. there's so much I want to annotate in the previous 15 pages.

this isn't a commute read. no way.

it's a book that from the very beginning would have you picking up your pen and sticky tabs for all the quotes it gives.

350/350 Done at 2am. What a fun light read!! Perfect book to get out of a 3 year reading slump.

310/350 At climax where Rebecca and Luke are having the debate on live television, and it's honestly so entertaining!!

You can feel Rebecca's passion and anger through the page.

Haven't read in a while. Been disinterested in reading. Trying to pick up a book again. Knew about this book when it came out & the hype. Now that's leveled I'll give it a go. Skimmed through reviews, ultimately the preview got me hooked. Was going in blind but caught a minor spoiler-the theme, so i guess no biggie. Got the ebook 1st, wanted to make sure i love it before buying. Early morning read, so far so good

Initially I had this in my CR shelf and while at it I had written down notes an thoughts throughout my progress.

Then I moved it into a new shelf called 'Active Current Read' and all my notes disappeared. So I decided to put it back in the CR shelf,.

Here we are back to zero. All notes all gone! Very disappointing Goodreads.

This is my 1st ever time reading a play. (I ain't counting the Curse Child)

It is wonderful, charming, easy to read and understand.

The 'Educating the Author' part outlines Russell's life and I didn't expect to really relate to it, as well as with Scene1.
The feelings of wanting to branch out, discover your passion even if it means going against family trying to keep you in this bubble.
It hits home

It's only now in Ch22. Out of Fire where things pick up and me as a reader gets to feel the fast paced action.

Binging a series is all fun and all but if it's too long, you get fatigue from reading and not have any energy at all. That's me now. Like it's 12 days since I started reading this book and I'm not even half way yet just 370/800.
