As engrossing as atmosphere? Yes, so far.

This book’s okay so far. I’ve read some criticism that this book uses far too many analogies, which it does. Bennet clearly had fun writing this. There are numerous unnecessary comparisons between behaviour management and weight loss, and some just as shocking comparisons such as class culture to the Jonestown Massacre. The book really could be half of the length. However, the half about behaviour is great.

4 1/2 stars. I loved this book! It’s simply written, has likeable characters and is a great story. I wish it leaned slightly more into life at NASA and in the 80s, but it did it enough. I don’t re-read books often but I can’t wait to re-read this.

Loving this so far! Simply written, simple narrative, great characters and great story. Only 20% and can’t wait to read the rest
