I have no respect for the protagonist, because she is spineless. She puts up with the abuse that her loser brother heaps on her.

As for the brother, if I were his sister, I would have allowed him to drown in that bathtub, or die from his gunshot wound, or something like that. Kid's a waste of oxygen.

"Patrick Harrington would be head of household."

Really? That old song and dance? Haven't family dynamics changed since the 70's?

Ativan takes 15-30 minutes to take effect, not seconds, so there's the first mistake.

The second is the 8-year-old deranged son, Evan. How is he wrapping his fingers around his mother's throat while standing in front of her, if he is only 8 years old?

Her statement that we're all social beings who enjoy and must depend on people rankles me. I don't enjoy people. Hell is other people. People are loud and thoughtless and insensitive. And what about people on the spectrum? Just too broad and general of a statement.

Good, informative book, so far. I am pushing all my code to Github, and getting as much as I can from the exercises and projects.

Doing the exercises as you go along is important for making sure you understand key concepts and can refer to them again and again for clarification.

Already introduces the same unfair constructs placed on women: must behave and dress like a lady, have to marry the man your guardians chose for you.

Also, it's stereotypical that she has blonde hair and blue eyes.

I am getting error messages because he is using an older version of Python, and I am using 3.7.4.

This book is extremely dry, and pedantic, and verbose.
