this is so creepy help

i am so frustrated because im weirdly interested in this book but its so bad? all i wanted was for the author to do a good job explaining everything instead she just randomly drops facts about the kingdom and the elites and the powers. 200 pages in and i still dont know which powers there are suddenly she just drops new ones (and theyre bad, lame and make no sense)

im so confused what are the trials for, whats the point, why did they create it, what do the elites get from it????? this does a terrible job at explaining how the world works

cant like kai, he lightly mentioned in the beggining tdoesnt like that he has to kill people and saved that other girl, but in a lot of scenes he jokes about killing people and TORTURES people and is just like 🤪🤷‍♂️. Is killing people part of the bad guy fantasy (dont like it) or did the author fail to emphasise that he hates it or am i completely missing the point

Doesn’t do a good job of explaining how this world works, and the similarities to The Hunger Games are off-putting 💀💀

hell no these first pages are my biggest nightmare. it feels like those dreams where you want to go somewhere but youre always late and there's always something in your way. creepy af
