Over halfway done…slightly bored with this novel ngl. It’s got some exciting parts and some very beautiful description but nothing has really hooked me yet… I realize I am much less attentive and much more antsy than the average reader of Victorian literature so what do I know.

Also: hate Rochester, all my homies hate Rochester (with the exception of Jenna Novosel)

I was really annoyed with this novel in the beginning, but I’m sort of coming around. I just really wish Snow was not the focus, as he is inherently less interesting than some of the side characters and attempts to make him sympathetic REALLY fall flat. “Oh no I’m gonna lose my penthouse apartment” dawg 12yos are literally being forced to merc each other

Never did I expect a book about punk rock would make me cry in the first 100 pages…chapter 4 is seriously no joke
