well, actually i'm just wanderin why a "Beauty" concept should be constructed in one way. this book just tell me what and why a "Beauty" does matter to be constructed. “Beauty” is a currency system like the gold standard. Like any economy, it is determined by politics, and in the modern age in the West it is the last, best belief system that keeps male dominance intact.

Holmes & Watson understanding each other as a roomate. i was just thinking that I was having a full 4 Semesters with my roomate, at first we likely doesnt have a prob with each other. But, as soon as my journal driving me crazy, i used to be careless with my room, esp clothes and books. My roomate started getting uneasy on me, my fellow said, only HIers would know how terrible the life of an IR student, indeed!

I was just rememberin when i first read this book and watching the first episode of Detective Conan. the scene when Holmes first meet with Watson and directly knew his job, is exactly the same when Shinichi meets a girl and directly knew her job XD

banyak yang bisa dipelajari dari Tirto adhi suryo, bagaimana ia menjadi pelopor pers pribumi dengan Medan Prijajinya, pemberian ruang bagi kaum perempuan untuk menulis sampai kontribusinya terhadap berdirinya organisasi-organisasi pada masa kebangkitan nasional seperti Budi Oetomo (yang hanya setahun kemudian diambil alih oleh golongan tua priyayi) sampai pendirian Sarekat Dagang Islam yang nantinya menjadi SI.

the authors described Qurban Ait with "The festival commemorates the story of Abraham, who was willing to sacrifice his son, Isaac, in obedience to Allah"
a different prespective between Islam and Christian about who sacrificed by Abraham. according to Quran, Abraham will sacrifice his son, Ismail while on bible its Isaac. if the authors wants to describe Islam, of course he should refer to Quran not the bible.

Islam in Kazakhstan is not defined as religion, but Islam is defied to be a traditional way of life. this caused by the kazakhstan culture which is oriented on a nomadic lifestyle. the practice of islamic ritual is also interpreted deifferently though they are sunni. in the state constitutional, Islam is a majority religion followed by the society but there is no syariah considering Kazakhstan is a secular country.

Despite its political aspect in the beginning of 20th centuries on Central Asia, the social aspect which the society depends on agricultural side is quite interesting.

Hal yang penting dari sudut pandang pendidikan yang membebaskan adalah agar manusia merasa sebagai tuan bagi pemikirannya sendiri dengan berdiskusi mengenai pemikiran dan pandangan tentang dunia yang secara jelas atau tersamar terungkap di dalam tanggapan – tanggapan mereka sendiri dan kawan – kawannya.

dalam dunia pendidikan terdapat fakta yang fenomena yang disebut Fatalism. Fatalism disini adalah hubungan asimetris antara guru dan murid. hubungan asimetris ini berdampak pada adanya sifat kepatuhan yang muncul dai murid terhadap guru. penggambaran ini bisa diilustrasikan dengan adanya narrative way of learning dimana guru bercerita dan murid hanya mendengarkan tanpa mempertanyakan bukti bukti empiris yang ada.

Bukankah Islam mementingkan fungsi pertolongan kepada kaum miskin dan menderita, dan tidak memberikan perhatian khusus tentang bentuk negara yang diinginkan?
