If I had a dollar for every time the characters say awkwardly “Right, yes.” to each other… the cringe is too much 🙈

Why tf did it take 400 pages (71% of the book!) to have some Dimitri-Rose scenes… why else would anyone read this book for 😠 Not impressed very far and I’m *tired* of constantly being in Lissa’s head…

I recommend reading this book if you want to become a nihilist ☺️👍 (Not saying it’s a bad book, oh no, it’s a good book I’ll probably give 4 stars to. Just mean that you’re exposed to ways humans hurt each other and it doesn’t make you feel good 😕)

It’s so interesting reading this book in 2025 when AI is displacing jobs the same way tractors did back in the 1930s… The government and corporations did zero to help the many people becoming unemployed, and in 2025 they won’t help people either… shows that society has not become one bit more compassionate since then, and we really are in the late stages of Capitalism. But I digress. I like the message of the book :)

I really hope I don’t hate this one… 😶 Mice and Men was one of my least favorite books I studied in 9th grade and I hope this experience is better! 🤞

A bit worried I won’t “get” all the philosophy in this book, but also really looking forward to it because I’ve heard great things

Ecologically focused book set in Poland with a witchy main character😍 I’m reading the Bulgarian and English versions side by side because the English translation of the character’s names is ✨torturing✨ me 🙂

Anaïs Nin writes so beautifully 😩 I can’t believe I didn’t discover her earlier

This isn't a book you can rush through. You can only read bits of it at a time otherwise everything starts blurring together. I'm still very neutral about how I feel.

Welp… don’t see myself giving this more than 2 stars 😬 So much infodumping and focus on worldbuilding at the expense of character development.
Something really amazing must happen by the end of the book to actually impress me.

The best kind of books are those that make you perfectly feel like you’re in a place you’ve never been to before. Currently the main character is in Las Vegas in some random suburb in the desert, and I’ve never been there but gosh do I see everything he sees and experience everything he experiences. Her writing is so magical. I love it.
