Can't wait to read the rest! I still feel like there's a big twist coming. Richard better not end up being the good guy or something though, I hate him and want to see him suffer. So used to unreliable narrator stories though and waiting for that (but hoping it's not so).

Page turner! Started off a little slow but it's gotten very interesting! I did kind of guess the plot twist that happens at the end of part I. I have a feeling there are more twists to come though.

I swear in all these books with an evil/controlling husband they make the husband as detestable as possible. It just makes for a very frustrating reading experience. Because I'm here yelling at him and the wife (though they're not married yet) as I see all the red flags that she can't quite see. I think she does see or sense the red flags though but isn't fully aware....

I know a lot of people really love this book. I can see the appeal but I really hate Hardin. He's supposed to be a super cool individual guy and he can't even tell some pricks he doesn't want to party with them and can't tell some girl to stop hanging off of him but Tessa is just supposed to accept all of that but she's not allowed to party with him? What a fucking prick!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I’m concerned both Tessa and Hardin suck and are behaving poorly.

Tessa for pushing Hardin to have a relationship with his father and not respecting his boundaries on even discussing his family, let alone forcing him to see them.

Hardin for displaying every behavior that ends up being the red flag of a stalker/abuser, things like not being able to take “no” for an answer.

Could this get any more messed up?? Her boyfriend dropped everything to visit her and she left him in her dorm room alone and took his car to go to Hardin and now she's going to stay with Hardin and just leave Noah stranded in her room??? I still think Noah is a tool but....what??????

Everyone in this book so far is ridiculous. Except for the random nerdy dude in Tessa's class whose name I can't remember. Her mother is just horrid and Noah is an absolute tool lol.

I'm kind of enjoying the drama, it's an escape for me especially since they're in college and I'm so far removed from that experience. I needed this after my last read.

This book is just the kind of escape I needed from my thoughts tonight.

Giving this one a try again! I'm intrigued to see where it goes and I love the dialogue, I just have a harder time with historical fiction sometimes.

Very interesting. Forgot how much I love Tarryn's flair for description. I'm trying to guess at what is really going on but I have a feeling I'll be blown away.

This is so good and so refreshing! It is really unconventional and unlike almost anything I've read before. Though it has the enemies-to-lovers trope (I guess? Haven't gotten to the lovers part) it's a different take on it. I love that the main female character is complex and flawed and very morally grey. I have no idea what she has planned but can't wait to find out.

Pretty good so far. The plot really is not cookie-cutter at all. At first I thought it was setting up for a Sleepless in Seattle type moment but that was not the case lol. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

This is good! Every character is fascinating to some extent. It’s set in Virginia Beach and the Eastern Shore. A number of the characters are classically trained musicians, even the main character private investigator, and a (fictional I believe) piece of music is central to the plot. Don’t know if readers less familiar with classical music would enjoy this, but I’m intrigued!

Trying to decide how I feel about this one. I guess it's a constant state for me. It seems like it will be intriguing, but I haven't gotten to that point where I can't put it down.

Things I love about this book so far:

Somehow this gets really hot really fast, but still really builds the anticipation, holy shit.

The use of other pronouns besides "he/him" to refer to God and the idea that God could be a "she" or a "they" (it warms my heart!)

I didn't think there could be a more forbidden love than that between priest and parishioner, but the attraction in this one is so very forbidden...

I love this one! Can't wait to finish and write my review!

I like the story and the chemistry btw the two MCs but there are a lot of stereotypical tropes in this book and the book before it. I just want to tell all fiction writers to STOP IT.

So far this is very good. I feel a little lost trying to keep track of everything or really understand what is going on. It also doesn't feel hugely suspenseful, at least not in a scary way. But I'm still really into this one. Love the chemistry between Blake and Cole ❤️

There are so many different people, different little pieces and I cannot guess what they mean or how they are related and it’s driving me crazy. And I’m nearly halfway through!

Chapter 17 - I cried. There are a lot of books that don't make me cry, and then the silliest things will make me cry. I just feel so bad and sad for Alex.

I'm so anxious to see how the two narratives will end up connecting.

So I know Sydney is upset in the prologue, but I'm not about the constant calling people bitches and whores and being all judgmental about the Hooter's waitress. I almost just stopped right there. But she has a passion for music and plays the piano and wants to be a music educator.....I feel like I have to give this a chance just for those reasons especially with what I'm going through right now.
