Priscilla Waller is reading Beauty Like the Night (Spymasters, #6)
I adore this author. I’ve read every book she has written over and over. To me her books are so rich in prose and so developed in their plots that I never get tired of them. I have all of her stories that are Audible also. Our three grown daughters live 500+/- away from us and we drive up to see them at least 5 times a year imention this because we listen to her boois as we drive.

My introduction to this author. I read it years ago and it started me off on tracking down her books. I’ve enjoyed most of them a lot.

I ❤️ this whole series. I read them all every two years or so. There are always new books coming but Jo did her best writing for my taste in this series.

This book is too raunchy for me. I don't mind sex if adds to the story but this book is , I don't know, just too much.

When I opened the book in Kindle reader it went directly to a description of a three way in a fantasy story. YUCK

This is a Jo Bev I bought in 2014 but never read. Now that I've discovered it I have to say that I thought it was one of her best books.
It's a wonderful mix of characters and a sweet double love story. The heroine is a delight, the hero is complicated and the children were cute. I loved it.

I'm enjoying this series but...it seems to me that the stories are set at the end of the Napoleon wars. One of the major characters sends for the police. Since England had NO policemen until 1829 that would have been hard. The Metropolitan Police only operated in London. The keepers of the law in rural areas were the magistrates or sometime the squire depending on the area. Please do your research

Loved it. One of the better Lacey's. As another review said, Lacey is so blull-headed you want to kick him but he's exactly what you want in a comrad because he never gives up.

Priscilla Waller is reading The Wedding Affair
I just reread The Wedding Affair. I've moved Ms Michaels to my auto-buy list when she writes a historical romance. The plot of this one was slightly trite. A Cinderella copy with several heroines is always pleasant. It's the characterization that shines in this charming story. When you feel as if you might meet one of the people in this novel at the grocery store the author is a champ.

Priscilla Waller is reading The Wedding Affair
I just finished The Wedding Affair for the second time. I think I've found a new auto buy author. The plot was slightly trite but the characterization made up for it. Everyone was fully fleshed out. When an author is able to create characters that I feel as if I would recognize them if I saw them at the grocery store then they have my appreciation.

Priscilla Waller is reading Three Little Secrets (MacLachlan Family, #4)
I just finished Three Little Secrets. This is one of my favorite. It has stayed with me over the years since I first read it. Liz Carlyle when she is on track can write a love story that stays with you. I love a good tear-jerker. I won't go over the plot . Read it, you'll be glad you did

A retread of this book confirmed my belief that this is my favorite of all of Liz Carlyle's books. The plot is a switch, the hero is the wounded one and the heroine saves him. How could you not love that? Max is also a person who uses his personal pain to help others, maybe not other individuals, but certainly the society he lives in. Catherine is a wonderful heroine, mature, loving and adult.

I first read this book over a year ago. It bowled me over and a rereading has the same effect. This book is as different from a formula historical romance as possible. The characters are human, flawed, honorable, selfish, altruistic, and intriguing. I'm not accustomed to needing to pay close attention

I love this series, have read them all. This is one of the best. The tone is not as "dark" as some of the stories. I often read the earlier stories and felt that poor Capt. Lacey might as well give up. Now Lacey is happy in his personal life and looking forward to his new child with eagerness. Good mystery, great setting. Go for it.

Priscilla Waller is reading The Marriage Act
I just finished The Marriage Act and gave it 4 stars. I'm so glad I've found this wonderful author. Her books remind me of the early Mary Balough. I have to admire an author who can tell a compelling story in less than 400 hundred pages.mMs Everett certainly can do that. My next move is going to be scouring the Internet looking for her books.

I'm always happy to find a new author who writes traditional regencies. This was a pleasing story with enough roadblocks to happiness to keep you interested. This time the hero had the emotional baggage but thank goodness :) it was sorted out in time to make a happy ever etc. Reading the epilogue I'm led to believe the heroine might wish the hero didn't love her as much as he did. It was a good.

I just finished Not Proper Enough (A Reforming the Scoundrels Romance) (Reforming the Scoundrels Series Book 2) and gave it 4 stars.I couldn't resist refreshing these two linked books. They are both wonderful but I think Ms Jewel must owe us one more book. She can't leave poor Aigen and Miss Caroline Kirk dangling in story land. Enjoy!!!

I just finished Not Wicked Enough (Reforming the Scoundrels Series Book 1) and gave it 5 stars. What a great story. CarolynJewel is one of my favorite authors. Her stories always delight me but this one excels. Lilly has to be one of her best heroines. This is a retread for me and honestly, it was better this time around. I need to discover what is the significance of the swan with broken chains ?

This is one of the best books I've read this year. Its a historical romance but it isn't , light, fluffy, or easy to skim through. You have to be engaged in it, think about it and, if you are like me, you don't put it down until you are through. This truly a rainy day novel. Since this is the first book by this author(but not her first published one) there isn't a backlist to devour.

Priscilla Waller is reading Nowhere Near Respectable (The Lost Lords #3)
I just finished Nowhere Near Respectable (The Lost Lords series Book 3) and gave it 4 stars. The heroine was a unique woman and the hero was a seemingly bad boy. They didn't fit the upper crust mold but they were perfect for each other. The plot was a little far fetched but after all, we read these stories to take a break from reality, so enjoy.
