This is a delightful read. If you’re at all involved in the theater business as I am, it’s a must read. It’s very inspirational and reminds me why we do what we do. I loved it!

I’m halfway through and can’t put it down. He was clearly born to be a musical theater producer. I admire his drive and courage, even at a young age. It’s also been interesting for me to see how so many events I witnessed tie together

What a beautiful book! Anyone who works in theater as I do, would love this book. It’s so rich with history and recalled with immense sensitivity. She was a real force of talent and drive and completely bananas (in a good way). I devoured it!

Slow

So far, good, but why 800 pages?

So far this is one of the cheesiest books I’ve ever read. Does it get better?

This book is incredible. At first I doubted that I would learn anything new, having read Farrow’s New Yorker pieces, but this book gives a gripping account of the work that went into his stories. Besides the exhaustive research, what an expose on both Weinstein and NBC. It’s because of this kind of reporting that we can realize real change and look back and wonder how things could have actually been that way.

I can’t believe how much I loved this book. What a wonderful author, I sincerely did not want it to end!

Does this book get better? It is so bad. Trite, shallow, filled with stereotypical references, I’m only continuing to read it because I’m stuck on a plane but I’m hoping it suddenly takes a turn and becomes a good read.
