I'm struggling so hard to not DNF this book. The time jump is making this read difficult. So much happened "off screen" which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it seems like those off screen moments are mentioned every other page. Plus, Hadrian spent a good chunk of the first book moping and mooning over Valka and now all of a sudden he's over her and in love with someone else? And this also happened off screen...

Did Hadrian really just think "they were both women, after all" which is why the 2 female characters he's referring to don't like each other? I'm trying to wrap my mind around why the author would write that; it completely took me out of the scene.

Literally nothing is happening

Okay, now I'm starting to get invested.

Not invested in this story like I had been expecting I would, hopefully that'll change.

I'm shocked more people aren't talking about this book.

I'm worried this is going to be a struggle to get through this.

I always get to a point when reading one of the books from the Dungeon Crawler Carl series where I realize I'm half-way finished and I desperately wish it wouldn't end.

Cute story so far

This is fast becoming a delightful story

I absolutely love that Fitz and the Fool are in this together.

I have many suspicions about the Fool and his sudden fever. Maybe it's just a sudden, random illness but I don't think so 🤔

I'm nearing the end of this story with the turn of every page. I'm both excited to see this journey unfold and distraught that it'll be over.

Things are getting so good. I love the strengthening bond been Fitz and Verity.

I'm obsessed. These audiobooks are so good, I can't put them down.
